Life seems to become more and more stressful every day. The demands of work pile up. The demands of home tend to go by the wayside and compound on a daily basis. Finding time for yourself with some Chinese tea can feel very much like a guilty pleasure to which you are not entitled. The dangers of failing to care for you, though, can have a negative impact on your health and well-being.

Relaxation needs to be something other than a reward for completing your daily work load. It needs to actually be apart of the work load. Make it a high priority on your to-do list and see to it that it gets done. It does not have to be much at all. A mere ten or fifteen minutes that is purely for your enjoyment is all it takes to refresh your mind and soul.

Of course how that personal time is spent will be different for everyone. Someone who loves baking could set aside a short while in the evening to whip together some cookies. In order to preserve your figure, instead of enjoying all of the fruits of labor yourself you could be kind enough to share with your neighbors, or send then out as gifts. Bake them for the dog, it really does not matter so long as you enjoy making them.

Relaxing with a book on your lunch break as opposed to trying to work through it can prove to be very diverting. As an added bonus, after your well-deserved break you can return to your work with a refreshed outlook. The book provides not only time to yourself, but also an escape to some other place and time. At the end of it you will often feel as if you just had a miniature get away.

Many find that a dip in a hot bath is just the thing to melt away the stress. Paired with some aroma therapy and it may well rejuvenate the soul, leaving you feel like a new person. Just think if you can feel that way everyday! Actually, that is exactly what you should do.

Put your feet up, start some of your favorite mellow music, and enjoy that cup of Chinese tea. It can be quick fifteen minute break while still in your office, or an extended after dinner delight in the evening. No matter when it is, be sure to get a good daily dose to preserve your functioning and improve your mood.
